OMG...Where have I been!??

Well, not posting on my blog that's for sure! I've actually been too busy with life...if you can believe that one. I don't know who the "who" is when I speak becuase it's not like anyone out there is even reading this. I write and share things to get them out of my head so that I can maybe sleep better at night.:) So what have I been busy doing you ask? Well, revamping our house for one. We redid the den, got a new desk and area rug, cleaned out the garage (that was a project in and of itself), dejunked, and rearranged!! Getting a new desk & cleaning the garage paved the way for my new little sewing area! I'm so excited about this and it really has gotten me excited about getting back to my sewing machine. it's amazing what your own space will do for you. So I'm in the midst of getting it exactly how I want it to be...which could take a little while because I'm so indecisive, but I'll get there! We're also getting ready to start a room addition and give our oldest daughter her own bedroom. This is a very big adventure and one that I'm very excited about!! We definitely need some more space. Our hope was that it would be done by Christmas...but I'm not seeing that happening since we haven't even broke stucco yet! :)

So I'm back! Ready to take on my sewing machine and any other crafts that come my way!! Maybe I'm feeling a bit motivated since only one of our 3 girls is home this week. Where are they you ask? Well the oldest is at 6th grade camp, and the youngest is with Nonna & Papa. So just the one...the easiest of them all...life is easy with one, but I wouldn't give up the other two for anything...well at least not permanently!! ;)

One proud Mama!!!

My little Ady, short for Adyson...even though we vowed we would never shorten it, had her first dance recital on Saturday! I was so proud of her and in awe of her sheer cuteness that day! She smiled the entire performance and sang along with all the songs! Below is a picture of her in her outfit from the recital. She wore it all day long and quite frankly, I'm surprised she didn't wear it to bed! My Adyson Reese...so sweet, so innocent, so girly...one of the 4 loves of my life!!!

My creative juices are flowin'

I'm a crafter at heart! If I see something and think that I can recreate it or make it better...rest-assured I will at least give it a try. I love to sew, bake, crochet, and create anything crafty! My new vice...vintage stlye aprons! Nothing frilly, just fun and flirty. I've always thought that if I were reincarnated then I must have come from the 1950's because I definitely have an old soul.
